A few weeks ago in our prenatal yoga class, I had a mom ask a question in regards to what she can do to be prepared for baby. Now, everyone is different in how they prepare, but I heard about how expensive diapers are and becomes a big cost, as well as formula ( if you are not breastfeeding). Well, since I did not know if I could or would be breastfeeding, I decided to just stock up on diapers. I would make a trip for diapers every paycheck, or every other paycheck. A friend had held a “couponing” class, and taught me lots of tricks. I am no “pro”, but a few things I learned I figured I would share! ( Yes, we talk about more than just pregnancy in our prenatal yoga classes ;)
Target typically has diaper deals once or twice a month. Sometimes the deal is if you purchase two boxes of diapers, you get a ten or fifteen dollar gift card. You can use manufacturer coupons in conjunction with this, as well as the Target app, cartwheel, to save more money. Just last week the special was spend $75 on diapers and get a $20 giftcard! The big win, is when they are running the two specials at once…one giftcard for purchasing 2 boxes, and another where if you spend $125/$150 on baby products, you get an additional $20/$25 giftcard. You wind up paying about 16-18 cents per diaper!
Besides Target, Publix will accept these Target giftcard coupons. SO if Publix is having a better sale, then you can use it there. Publix also has a baby club that you can sign up for. They will send you a nice baby resource book, and they send you coupons catered towards your baby and their age.
I also sign up online for mailing lists to products that I use often ( Plum Organics, Annies, etc.) and they send you coupons via email. I also signed up for Pampers Rewards where you collect points, and can redeem for coupons, Shutterfly products, etc.
