Breastfeeding Classes and Support – Broward County Resources
This is similar to the handout you get in the Yogafairy Prenatal Yoga class. Broward County breastfeeding classes are listed. Most any hospital that you’re planning on delivering in has a breastfeeding class and I’ve never heard of a bad one. Take your partners and learn about it beforehand. The classes are really useful!
Still, you may have difficulty breastfeeding after the baby is born. It’s a learning process for both of you. You can use your prenatal yoga breathing to get through a lot of it and to just calm yourself down postpartum when you’re breastfeeding. The breathing also helps your baby to calm down (yay!).
For a comprehensive list of diseases of childhood and infancy that breastfeeding protects against, including brief summaries of the studies, please visit http://www.lalecheleague.org/cbi/Biospec.htm
Birth and Baby has the hugest selection of nursing bras, the biggest I’ve seen. And shipping is only $2. They’re great about returns so that you can try them on.
Professional Lactation Consultant Pam Mazella DiBosco offers a private breastfeeding class in your home as well as support for nursing following birth. Call her – she’s fantastic! All phone calls are Free! FYI – She’s also a fantastic, in high demand doula! 954-274-5386 or visit her Website!
All phone calls are Free and you would be amazed how much she can help you over the phone! Fee for visits to home . . . much less than the cost of artificial breastmilk (formula) for even one month.
Classes provide you and your family with the most current information to support you with successful breastfeeding in the first few weeks of life. Most of them cover the basics. Dads and grandparents are welcome and encouraged to come to all of the classes below.
